The Asia Pacific Tourism Association is an internationally acclaimed association in the field of
tourism. A conference is held annually and a journal is published
quarter-annually. Its quality research papers are distributed
all over the world. The purpose of APTA is to further facilitate
quality tourism research in the Asia-Pacific area, to share research
achievements, to exchange scholars and to allow for the active exchange
of ideas between academic and their counterparts in the business world.
The association is comprised of seventeen Asia Pacific countries and regions
including Australia, Canada, China, Macao, Guam, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia,
Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand
and the USA. APTA has now grown to become an internationally renowned academic
association in the Asia-Pacific region with 16 national/regional representatives
and more than 300 academic or industry members from over 20 Asia-Pacific
and other countries
